Wow, that’s a solid list. I talk about SEO on my blog and I get emails and comments from people a lot asking me for basic design stuff. This is a great list to send them to.
I honestly suprised by how many people get into “internet marketing” and completely forget the “internet” part of it. I consider basics like HTML and CSS to be a must.

NVU? Surely you jest.
The maintainers have abandoned it, there is no website for NVU anymore. The closing reference is on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvu
So, why list it as a resource?
Also, where is “A list apart”, WebMonkey (inspiration); BlueFish, HTMLkit (programs) (to name a few); … I could go on.
Reviewing the list of stuff you have referenced, it appears to be “the list of expensive Windows only tools for dummies with a few open-source things to fool the gullible” thing to teach you web development for non-standards compliant crap.
JMHO. I’ll get off my soapbox now.
Good day.

Good collection: I think I’ll be picking up a book or two (I need to improve typography and colors), and also the usability section.
Stumbled.

Thanks for putting together quite a definative list, ive added this page to a list of resources that our artists should be reading. While good at graphics, CSS and HTML validation seems to be alien to them.

I think all of us already are familiar with html and css thing but the difficult part is photoshop. I have visited all photoshop links and they are very helpful. Although I have older version of photoshop but I think many of tutorials will work with that.
