Google Launches Web-Browser - Google Chrome
Author: Stefan Vervoort | Please Comment!Google is in about everything we see on the web and today that makes sense again, because Google is entering the Web Browser market. This new, open-source browser will be launched somewhere tomorrow and is called Google Chrome. You should read the comic that comes with the leak!
I’ve read it myself just yet, and I like what they are saying. Of course, we all have to see how things are going to work in real life, but I am looking forward to testing it.
An other thing that I’ve been hearing, and what’s interesting for us webdevelopers and webdesigners too, is that Google Chrome will focus on standards. As well as the JavaScript engines and stuff!
We will see everything tomorrow and see what it’ll do to our browsers.

A great move by Google! The more competition in the web browser market the better. It can only force existing companies to improve their products and services so as customers we will continually have the best programs available for our businesses.

The more browsers the better in my opinion. I tend to use Mozilla for design, IE7 crashes a lot for me and is still some way off being standards-compliant which is annoying. I use Opera for browsing as I like the speed dial feature.
Will try Chrome later - tbh I like Google. Webmaster Tools and Analytics are invaluable for me, and the fact that Chrome is open source makes it even more appealing.
