Wordpress Theme - Spicy Typography

Author: Stefan Vervoort | Please Comment!

After a day without internet and my localhost only, I have managed to create another Free Wordpress Theme for the readers of DivitoDesign! I tried to create a simple theme with the standard blog look, yet elegant with nice typography.

Spicy Typography - Free Wordpress Theme

Features

This Wordpress Theme has some features you might like:

  • Widget Ready Sidebar
  • CSS 2.1 & 1.0 XHTML valid
  • Cross Browser Compability - Tested in Firefox and IE6
  • Fast Loading (Only 5 very small images)
  • Compatible with Wordpress 2.5+
  • Search Engine Friendly

Description

This theme is ideal for the blogger that focus on content, but would like to have some typography options along the way.

Demo & Download

I have added a live demo to our themes-demo page:

Appreciation

If you feel thankful for this release please leave the link back to DivitoDesign in the footer. Feel free to delete it if you feel like that (you aren’t nice to me!), but I will not sue you for that.

Bugs

I am a human too, so it is possible I have made a mistake or two I didn’t notice. If you stumble upon them, please Comment to let me know.

    Hi! Incredible nice looking theme!

    I have just one problem:

    “No Sidebars Defined

You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.”

    Any idea?

Ok, the “functions.php” file is missing thats the problem :-)

But I have another: When I go to one post, does not show the content!

Hi Juan - I see, thanks for pointing that out. I will add “functions.php” file to the download.

Doesn’t the content show when you go to a single post? What do you mean? Do you have an example I can see, because it doesn’t give that error on the theme preview (right?).

    Thanks for the pointer.

@J.P. - Hmm that’s strange. I will take a look tomorrow and update the theme if the problem is fixed.

Thanks for pointing me to this bug!

For some reason our Page text isn’t showing up. I type it into the page editor, but it doesn’t appear on the page unless I hard code it into the page HTML file in your template. This worked great for the About Us page, but we’d like to create a second page… Can you help?

In Wp-admin, you should “write a new page” and place content in there. You shouldn’t go to “page editor”, because that will edit the coding of the page.php file. You should write a new page the same way as a new post. Hope that helped.
